A LOCAL woman has recently received an award for her outstanding service within the community.

Anne Sim, who joined the Elgin Rotary in 2020, was presented the St Andrews Quaich at the club’s annual Christmas dinner.

This is an internal award which is given to a member who has provided outstanding service during the year.

On accepting the Quaich, an overwhelmed Anne said: "I just love Rotary. I wish I had joined the club years ago.”

Anne has been involved in many club projects and brought forward creative ideas that have been adopted by the Elgin club.

As well as this, she is a member of many other local organisations and charities which shows her commitment to the community.
