LAST week was much quieter on the fish landings front at Buckie Harbour, with fewer than half the number of boxes brought ashore than the previous seven days.

Some 196 boxes of fish/prawns/squid were landed compared to 453 the week before. Over the course of both weeks no bags of clams were landed.

Bringing their catches to the quayside were Our May, Ocean Rose, Transcend and Chloe Ella.

A single cargo vessel called at Buckie last week, the Dutch-registered MV Elisabeth S. She imported 2081.94 tonnes of malt from King's Lynn on January12 before sailing light to Liege four days later.
