A GROUP of eight personnel from RAF Lossiemouth have taken to their bikes to raise funds for the Royal Air Force Association.

RAFA Rides is an annual fundraiser which invites participants to cycle either 30, 70 or 100 miles in support of the charity.

Due to Covid-19, it was not possible for larger events to take place, but Team Lossie showed its support with small groups doing a 100-mile loop cycle ride around Moray.

Poseidon Line Squadron took a route through Archiestown, Grantown on Spey, Boat of Garten, Ferness, Forres and back to Lossiemouth – where they ended with a well-deserved pint at Windswept.

Chief Technician Rawley said: “We had a fantastic day and all riders grouped together to cross the line as one tired but very happy unit.

"Our team alone raised over £1500. The generosity of our friends and colleagues is simply staggering.”

With participants from across the globe taking part, more than £100,000 has been raised for the Royal Air Force Association this year.
