THOUSANDS of pounds have been raised for Moray-based charity Keiran's Legacy after a raffle.
Although the final total raised is not yet known, it is believed to be in excess of £2000 – with £500 given out to raffle winners.
Prizes were drawn by Keiran McKandie's grandparents Barbara and Robbie Dalgarno at Tesco.
Susan Robertson won £300, with £125 going to Heather Fiske and £75 to Les Steven.
Sandra McKandie, Keiran's mum and charity founder, said: "A lot of different people and places took raffles and sold them, which was really good.
"Given the cost-of-living situation, and the fact there are so many worthy charities out and about now, we are absolutely grateful to everyone who bought a raffle and supported us."
Susana Simoes, a manager at Elgin Tesco, added: "I want to thank all the volunteers and everyone that bought raffles.
"Now we are looking forward to what is going to happen is next and building Keiran's Trail at Glenlivet, which will be a really proud moment for Keiran's Legacy."
Mountain biker Danny MacAskill, one of Keiran's big heroes, is set to visit to Moray to open the Trail at Glenlivet in March or April 2023, weather permitting.
