Former Moray musicians have a lockdown hit

A couple of musicians who grew up in Moray have scored something of a hit online since lockdown began.

David Scott who grew up in Aberlour and went to Speyide High, along with former Elgin Academy pupil Nicola West are both in the Glasgow-based band RaRaRasmussen.

One of the tunes by the seven-piece group is called There's No Tomorrow.

Although written many years before lockdown was ever even imagined, the song's lyrics have a darkly funny relevance to our present situation.

The video below comes from a gig in September.

It features David, who's head of research at Edinburgh University, on trombone. Nicola, who works as a speech therapist, is on keyboards.

The singer, meanwhile, is Phil Rasmussen, who they both first met in the mid-1990s while studying at Strachclyde University in Glasgow.
