Buckie area roadworks round-up

A NUMBER of roadworks are set to affect the Buckie area over the course of the coming week.

SGN are installing a new gas connection on Blantyre Street, Cullen outside the Wakefield care home, which is due to run to February 12.

Work is still under way on the cycle track between Portknockie and Cullen.

In Portknockie itself, Scottish Water are working in Admiralty Street with an estimated end date of this coming Tuesday.

Meanwhile, over in Buckie, Moray Council are continuing their carriageway and footpath resurfacing works on North High Street. This got under way September 18 last year and is expected to last 136 working days in all.

On Cluny Lane, SGN are disconnecting a gas service which will likely be completed by February 16. The firm are also expected to start work on High Street near the Old Coach House at some point between February 7-15 for 10 working days.

Vodafone are due to have works running on East Cathcart Street until Tuesday.

On High Street near Regency Car Sales Moray Council will be carrying out drainage improvements which are scheduled to run until the end of the week.

Major gas main replacement works by SGN are due to start on Cluny Terrace by April 14 for 133 working days.

Down the road at No 63 Seatown the council will be installing a dropped kerb, beginning February 8-9 for two working days. Also in Seatown, near No 34, Scottish Water have been working to repair a burst stop tap, which is envisaged to run until Thursday.

Moray Council will be doing footway and drainage improvements in the area around No 1 St Peter's Terrace for the duration of this week.

Near Enzie Scottish Water are working to repair a leaking toby with the job estimated to be complete by February 8.

All of the start dates and durations are estimates and subject to change.
