A heartfelt tribute has been paid to one of Lossiemouth's favourite sons – Mike Mulholland.
Mike, who died in October last year, was a stalwart of the town's community council as well as a very popular member of Rotary Elgin.
His fellow rotarians have now taken on the upkeep of a flower bed in his hometown.
Sheila Campbell from Rotary Elgin said: "We are proud to include many members from Lossiemouth.
"Rotarians recently met with some of Mike’s family, wife Lily and his grandchildren Olivia and Elliot, on what would have been his birthday to unveil a plaque in his memory.
"Olivia also brought along the Memory Bear which was presented to the family last year, created from Mike’s rotary jumper by rotarian Penny Hamilton.
"Olivia and Elliot are also the grandchildren of member Graham Milne who introduced Mike to the club over 10 years ago.
"Both youngsters were busy helping Graham with the weeding of the flowerbed while they were on holiday."
Rotary Elgin has also issued special thanks to Ronnie Ross of Designed Signs & Graphics in Elgin who generously donated the plaque and to all the rotarians involved in the upkeep of the flowerbed.
