BROTHERS from Aberlour have pushed themselves to the peak for charity.

Alfie and Max Teunion hiked to the top of Ben Nevis to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of their Granda Pitchroy.

The Aberlour Primary pupils, aged 11 and 8, carried out dozens of strengthening walks ahead of the challenge, completing four Munros as part of their training with their mum and dad, as well as the family dog Harry.

On Friday, they took their first step towards the 1345m summit of the famous peak. After three-and-a-half hours, they made it to the top of the highest mountain in Britain and stopped to take in the views and for a few photographs before taking on the descent.

Alfie and Max's mum Sarah said was so pleased they had reached their goal. In doing so, the schoolboys raised nearly £400 for a cause close to the family's heart.
