Employers across Moray are being urged to nominate their star apprentices to see if they can be win the title of best in Scotland.

The search is on to find the country’s top apprentices, with nominations for the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards now open.

Now in their 18th year, the awards are delivered by Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and aim to celebrate the continued growth and diversity of apprenticeships.

The event also demonstrates the benefits apprenticeships bring to employers, individuals and the wider economy.

Categories this year recognise both large employers and SMEs, while others celebrate the achievements of individuals including Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprentices.

Other categories include Instructor of the Year and Apprentice Ambassador of the Year.

The awards ceremony will take place in November and the deadline for entries – www.apprenticeships.scot/events/awards/ – is noon on June 26.
