Seasgair Store – on the corner of Batchen Street and South Street – is set to open its doors to customers for the first time at 10am on Saturday, April 15.

The shop is owned by Sarah Holmes, who is opening a second shop after the success of Pencil Me In, also on Batchen Street, which opened in 2016.

She said: "We have had a really positive response to news of the shop's opening – customers are excited so the pressure is on to live up to the hype!

"It's been such a lovely response and we are excited to share what we have pulled together."

Sarah got the keys to Seasgair six weeks ago – so it has been a reasonably quick turnaround to open the shop, but she admitted she had hoped to have it open even earlier.

"Deliveries took a little bit longer and a bit of added joinery needed done," she explained. "We would have liked to have opened a bit earlier but we are on track.

"It will be good to open up before the tourism season really hots up."

Seasgair Store will be open from 10am until 4pm, Monday through to Saturday, and will also have an online offering, with a website set to launch at www.seasgair.store on Sunday.

Sarah is chuffed to give people another reason to visit Moray. She added: "We are giving people more shops to visit.

"People are looking at this as another reason to visit Elgin – that was the response we got from customers that love Pencil Me In."
