Local skateathon to raise cash for Keith Kerbs

KEITH Kerbs are set to host a fundraising skateathon at Keith Skate Park next weekend.
The group are hosting the event – which is open to all – from 11am until 4pm on Saturday, July 24.
REAP Scotland, supported by cash from the co-op's community fund grant, are helping organise the event.
REAP will supply packed lunches, water and an ice cream for all taking part, with an ice cream van set to drop by. Music will be played from a speaker.
All funds raised through sponsorship and donations will go towards Keith Kerbs.
Leanne McHardy, of Keith Kerbs, said: "All ages are welcome to come along. Money will help to pay for the insurance required for the skate park.
"People from outwith the area are welcome, too, with somebody from Ellon already booked in."
Ann Davidson, manager at REAP Scotland, added: "It's nice to be able to help Keith Kerbs and add to what they are doing.
"We are doing packed lunches and paying for everyone to have an ice cream, but we are also doing risk assessments.
"Everybody is keen to get back together in a safe way.
"We got this grant from the co-op before the pandemic hit and we haven't been able to use it.
"It's lovely to be able to use it now to work with other local groups and help bring the community together."
If you don't have any sponsorship, then it's £5 to skate on the day, with the park closed so the skateathon can take place.
