Snow closures: Moray and Speyside schools affected by overnight snow

Following overnight snow and continuing icy conditions, the following schools in the Moray area are affected today, joing over 90 in Aberdeenshire which have been either shut or seeing transport cancelled.

As of 8am -

Speyside ASG

Rothes Primary School - Rothes Primary is closed today due to the adverse weather, ongoing weather warnings for snow and difficult road conditions. Pupils should log on to their Google Classroom after 9.30am.

Mortlach Primary School - Due to adverse weather conditions, poor road conditions and forecast for more snow throughout the day, Mortlach Primary School will be closed to all pupils and staff today. Learning grids are available on the school blog for all classes.

Glenlivet Primary School - Due to today's forecast and road conditions, Glenlivet Primary will be closed to all pupils and staff. Snow grids will be emailed to parents at 9am.

Craigellachie Primary School - Craigellachie Primary School will be closed to all pupils and staff today. Pupils can access snow closure activities by logging onto their glow account and clicking on the school team tile. Guidance notes and snow grids will also be accessible through the school website.

Tomintoul Primary School - Due to the forecast for today and the road conditions, Tomintoul Primary will be closed to all pupils and staff. Snow grids are available via Teams and will be emailed out to parents.

Knockando Primary School - Knockando Primary is closed today due to current weather conditions and the fact that heavy snow and wind are forecast throughout the day. Pupils should access their snow day learning activities in their home learning jotters.

Speyside High School - Speyside Hgh School is Closed Today, Further information about prelims to follow. The S2 Guidance Subject Choice Parents' Evening scheduled for this evening will be rescheduled.

Aberlour Primary School - School closed due to adverse weather conditions.Parents can access home learning on the school website.

Keith ASG

Keith Primary School - Due to the weather forecast around school opening time and to allow staff from rural areas to get into work safely, we will open at 9.45am. School will be open at the normal time to school transport pupils and to pupils where parents are unable to make other arrangments.

Keith Grammar School - Keith Grammar School opening at 9:35am Buses will run as normal. Any bus pupil who arrives before 9:35am will be able to wait in the main hall. Local pupils should not arrive to school before 9:35am.

Prelims - Higher English will start 1 hour later than scheduled at 9:45am. National 5 English, Advanced Higher Graphic Communication and Advanced Higher Music will be rescheduled for another day. Further details will follow later today.
