PUPILS across Moray have been celebrating World Book Day.
And they included youngsters at Kinloss Primary School who enjoyed a visit from author Stuart Reid.
He has been a full-time children's author for 10 years and has written nine books and performed at almost 3000 schools, libraries and book festivals throughout Britain, Ireland, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Spain, India and Australia.
He has been invited to Kinloss Primary School a number of times.
"My last visit being February 2022. It was a harrowing, snow-filled, action-packed drive from Falkirk and I arrived at the school as a shell-shocked wreck of an author. The teachers and pupils were so welcoming that I decided to dedicate my ninth book to the school."
He officially launched the book – Soggy Saturday Sandwich – at the school for World Book Day.
He hosted a book reading assembly with the whole school, followed by a series of creative writing workshops during the day.
The book has already been shortlisted as a finalist in the Wishing Book Shelf Awards – the winner will be announced on April 1.
