SOLD on Soul have raised tens of thousands and entertained people for more than 30 years.

The 13-piece Moray and Highland soul band first came together in 1992 for a gig to support Unicef.

Since then, their annual concert and dance in Elgin Town Hall has raised a huge amount of money for the international charity, through its local Elgin committee.

This year’s dance is on Saturday, February 3 and proceeds will be split between Unicef and Elgin Town Hall for the Community.

Local Unicef committee member Irene Easton said: “With wars raging across the world, including in Ukraine and Gaza, and many recent natural disasters like floods and earthquakes, there has never been a greater need to support Unicef in their constant task to improve the lives of people across the world.”

Unicef works to vaccinate, educate and protect the world’s children and relies entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising to protect children in danger and to build a safer world.

The local committee is looking for new members and volunteers to join them in their fundraising efforts.

If you want to get involved contact Irene Easton on 07976 314 641 or email irene_easton@hotmail.com

Tickets are £20 and on sale at Sound and Vision, South Street, Elgin, on the Elgin Town Hall website or at the door on the night.
