CUPID’S arrow is likely to strike in Elgin following a successful inaugural face-to-face event in Forres.

Moray Speed Dating for 25 to 45-year-olds at Foggies Vape Bar in Munro Place will offer the same fun, face-to-face alternative to online dating as it did at The Carisbrooke on Drumduan Road recently.

Organiser Fiona Macintosh is confident attendees looking for love will leave happy.

She said: “The first night in Forres was a massive success!

“As I welcomed people at the door, everyone appeared nervous but once they sat down and started chatting it was hard to get them to stop!”

Eight men and nine women took part at the Brookie.

“Each couple has five minutes to get to know each other,” said Fiona, “using prompt cards if they wish, before moving onto the next. At no point did I see people not talking and I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of singles for my first event. Feedback included how lovely it was to sit face to face with other singles and date the old fashioned way, with no phones and no misconceptions.”

She added: “The first night ended later than planned as quite a few people stayed and chatted with potential suitors.”

Fiona finished: “If you’re sick of online dating and want to get involved in a quick fire round of dating face-to-face, get in touch!”
