TAMDHU has been rewarded with a double gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

The Knockando distillery picked up the awards for its Batch Strength 004 which has been matured in American and European Oak Oloroso seasoned casks.

The judging process saw it blind tasted by a panel of industry experts at the event which is considered one of the most influential spirits competitions in the world.

Ian Weir from Tamdhu said: “To receive a double gold medal is a wonderful testament to the quality of our Batch Strength 004.

“It is an exceptional single malt with a natural colour, complex richness, deep intensity and long finish, one hundred per cent matured in hand-selected sherry oak casks.

“Congratulations must really go to the team at the distillery. Once again they have worked their magic."
