Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival up for award

THE Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival is in the running for a prestigious award.

The finalists were announced on Monday in the inaugural Scottish Whisky Awards.

James Campbell, chairman of the festival, said: “I am delighted that Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival are one of the finalists for tourism destination of the year in the Scottish Whisky Awards.

“Well done to the #dram19 team and all of our UK and international guests for making our festival so special , once again this year.”

The festival boasted more than 700 events across Speyside and Moray this year as tens of thousands of whisky enthusiasts descended on the area.

The festival includes ceilidhs, tastings, dinners, distillery tours, whisky masterclasses and live music sessions.
