SSEN Transmission are hosting a series of public events across the Blackhillock to New Deer and Peterhead project route from February 26 to 28 March 28.

To support the growth in renewable developments across the north of Scotland, investment in network infrastructure is needed to connect this power and transport it to areas of demand.

This includes a new 400kV overhead line between Beauly and Peterhead, connecting in to new substations near Blackhillock and New Deer.

A spokesperson for SSEN said: "Since our last consultation in Spring 2023, we have narrowed down our proposals and there have been some changes to what we called our 'preferred' routes that we want to consult you on.

"We invite all interested parties to attend our drop-in exhibitions to discuss our plans with the project team and share your views."
