Angie Chisholm joined the St. Giles Centre on June 6 1993, just two years after it opened, and she has seen the centre through many changes in her 30-year-career.

Angie said: "It has been a highlight to see all of the changes to the centre over the years and see it grow, when I first came here there were only four units open and over that time it has went from being practically empty to solid full and then back to quieter again now."

Mum of three Angie (55) has been at the St. Giles Centre for all of her children's lives, with her oldest daughter now turning 30, having joined the centre when she was just five months old. Angie even had the pleasure of working alongside one of her daughters when she got a job at WHSmith, making the St Giles Centre a bit of a family business.

Throughout her time at St Giles Centre, Angie has also played a large part in the centre's various charitable initiatives and events. Although her official role is as contracts manager, Angie and the St Giles team are keen to help out the community and have raised funds for lots of charity organisations, including the Ladybird Group, Abbie's Sparkle Foundation, and RDA Moray.

Angie said: "We give to local charities in the Moray area," Angie explained. "We have a foodbank tin and the giving tree at Christmas, as well as the Easter egg appeal. We try to help out local charities and organisations like nurseries as much as possible.

"It has been very important in the last few years especially, we feel now how hard it is for everyone with the cost of living crisis so we try and give donations to lots of different places and help as many people as we can."

Reminiscing on her anniversary, she added: "I've probably lasted here because it's such a good place to work. Over the years, we've had great teams working here, and time seems to have flown by quickly - it doesn't feel like 30 years."
