St Leonard's Church, on Forres High Street, will launch its Cosy Drop-In on November 1 to provide somewhere for people to go if they are having difficulty heating their home.

The church hall will be open between 1.30pm and 4pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, with all welcome to drop by.

Free tea and coffee will be on offer, along with the opportunity for a good chat. A selection of board games and jigsaws will also be available as well as a variety of magazines and books.

Should the drop-in prove to be a success, St Leonard's will look to open up on additional afternoons during the week.

Meanwhile, the church's tasty soup and sandwich lunches continue to be popular. They take place every Tuesday in the church hall between noon and 1.30pm.

The church is also hoping that its Thursday Bite and Blether lunch club will be back soon.
