"Thankfully neither patients nor staff were injured," the health board said.

"But it has left the team shaken up and has disrupted patient care while repairs are carried out.

"The incident took place at around 10pm. We are appealing for the public's help in tracing those responsible.

"If you were in the area and saw or heard anything unusual, please get in touch with Police Scotland."

The police can be contacted by calling 101 and quoting crime number CR/0111759/22.
