THE talent of Keith's Stagestars shone brightly last week as they presented a rainbow of song and dance routines in their summer show.

A cast of more than 100 had put in many hours since January to be stage-ready for the Keith-based drama school's summer show, Life Teaches Us to Dream. The light-hearted production – celebrating individuality and the importance of going after dreams – went down a treat with audiences at a packed-out Longmore Hall.

Life Teaches You To Dream ran for three nights last week, from June 19-21. The show featured fantastic singing and energetic dance routines to hits from past and present, as well as drama sketches of modern-day dilemmas facing youngsters and their take on well-known film scenes.

Founder and director of Stagestars Scotland Seonaid Clark said: "I would like to congratulate our students – they were outstanding.

"They worked exceptionally hard, especially in the final few weeks, to give a polished and slick performance, so I was proud of every single one of them.

"I would like to thank our dedicated staff for all their hard work getting the students to such a high standard – they are a special bunch.

"We are always delighted when our productions get such high praise from our audiences. It makes us very proud of what they have achieved. Thank you to everyone who came along to the show to support us. It's very much appreciated."

Stagestars have put on various productions over the past 18 years. With students ranging in age from seven to adulthood, cast members attend the group from throughout Moray.

The Stagestars school is now taking applications for August. See the website www.stagestars-scotland.com for information.
