ARRADOUL SWI celebrated their first meeting of the new season by honouring a long-serving member.

President Coleen MacKenzie congratulated the members who took part in Keith Show where Arradoul did very well bringing home various trophies, including the Jubilee Shield for most points overall.

She also had the honour of presenting a very valued member, Margaret Greig with a Certificate of Loyal Service to the SWI. Mrs Greig has worked hard both for Arradoul SWI and the Banffshire Federation, representing Banffshire at a national level.

There was a slight change to the evening as the planned speaker had to reschedule so instead members had a Beetle Drive which resulted in lots of fun and hilarity. Lois Archibald was pronounced the Beetle champion.

Competition results were: Flower of the month – 1. Donna Trowbridge, 2. Jessie Low; Decorated flower pot – 1. Susan Clarke.

The next meeting is at 7.30pm on Tuesday, October 18 in Arradoul SWI hall where Sybil Stuart will be giving a cookery demonstration for 30-minute meals. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
