TASTER health walks highlighting the benefits of stepping out with others will take place in Elgin.

CLAN Cancer Support and Moray Health and Social Care, with support from Paths for All, have teamed up to offer two sessions, starting at the CLAN Elgin's High Street office and finishing with a cuppie and a blether.

The walks take place on Friday, August 16 and Thursday, September 5 starting at 10.30am and should last around 40 minutes.

They are primarily aimed at anyone who has been or is currently affected by cancer, including family members and friends.

Walking has a range of benefits including helping to manage pain for a wide range of long term health conditions including cancer.

They are free to attend and will follow low level routes offering a chance to enjoy some fresh air and green space in a friendly atmosphere.

It is hoped that a weekly health walk based at the CLAN centre will follow. For more details contact Julie Muir on 01343 544132.

Taster health walks, run by CLAN Cancer Support Elgin and Moray Health and Social Care, will take place in Elgin later this month.
