STORM Babet: Reader pictures show dramatic harbour scene

WITH Moray waking up to a second day of Storm Babet, we start Friday with some dramatic images of nature at work.

Reader Steve Arkley captured the intensity of the storm-churned sea at Hopeman harbour.

The sheer force of the waves pounding against the harbour wall can be seen.

Of course, Steve got these shots at a safe distance and people are generally being advised to stay away from harbours, coastal areas and river courses.

The amber warning for wind and rain in Moray is set to last until at least 12noon today.

Parts of south Aberdeenshire and Angus have been subject to the most extreme red warning.
