The Wetherspoons branch has announced it will reduce the price of pints of Bud Light and Doom bar to £1.99 during the sale.

That represents a 15 per cent saving on Bud Light, which is currently £2.34, while the price of Doom Bar will fall by 21 per cent from £2.55.

A range of beers, ciders, spirits, cocktails, hard seltzers, soft drinks and hot drinks are also included as part of the sale.

Food will also feature in the sale event, with a small breakfast (fried egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans and a hash brown) on offer for £2.99, burger meals for £4.99 or £6.46 with an alcoholic drink, and three for £12 on snacking plates.

Manager Leigh Ellis said she is reducing the price of a range of drinks and meals at the Elgin High Street Wetherspoon pub from Wednesday, January 3 until Wednesday, January 17.

She said: "Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in the pub too.

"The range of drinks and food on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes.

"This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.

"I believe that the January Sale will prove popular with our customers."

She added: "As always, staff at the pub will serve customers responsibly."

The drinks featured in the sale are; draught beers and ciders (Doom Bar, Bud Light, Worthington's, Stowford Press Apple Cider and Budweiser), spirits (AU vodka (four flavours) and Sidemen XIX Vodka (mixed berry), classic cocktails (Espresso Martini, Strawberry Daiquiri and Tommy's Margarita), Corona Tropical hard seltzers (raspberry and lemon, guava and lime) and a range of soft drinks (Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Max, R. White's lemonade, Pepsi Max cherry), Lavazza coffee (with free refills, as well as tea and hot chocolate).

The low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks included in the sale are Erdinger, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois, Heineken 0.0, Kopparberg Strawberry and Lime, Adnams Ghost Ship and Beck's Blue.

A classic cocktail will cost £2.99, while a bottle of Beck's Blue (alcohol free lager) will be £1.49, a Pepsi Max £1.49 and Lavazza coffee, tea and hot chocolate £1.29.
