AN ABERDEEN man who kicked his partner on the head in Lossiemouth has been handed a three-year community payback order.

On July 11, 2022, a witness spotted Michael Davidson, of Westhill, kicking his partner, who was lying on the ground, on the head at Silver Sands Caravan Park in Lossiemouth.

Davidson, who has two previous domestic abuse charges, was "heavily under the influence of alcohol" when the incident took place.

Davidson (59) was ordered to carry out the Caledonian Domestic Abusers' Programme at Elgin Sheriff Court on Thursday, September 29.

Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood said: "The only person who doesn't think that Mr Davidson has an alcohol and domestic abuse problem is Mr Davidson himself.

"His wife should not have to put up with this."

Davidson was given three years of supervision as an alternative to a custodial sentence.
