A charity boss has thanked the bands who will be playing for free at Elgin Town Hall later this month.

Popular local acts The Fragz, MacTa, Bad Actress and Cask have all agreed to perform in aid of Mikeysline.

Meanwhile joining them on stage for his Moray debut will be Glasgow-based singer Ant Thomaz plus a full band.

Added to that a special line-up of local musicians will perform 'The Conversation: I am me', the song they recorded together and which kicked off the idea to hold the original concert for Mikeysline at the town hall last January.

The line-up includes Gary 'Moyzie' Moyse, Danny Mortimer and Blaire MacKenzie.

Support for the gig is also being offered by local businesses and many individuals.

The gig's organisers have received generous donations for a raffle which will be held on the night from Springfield Properties, Pure Complementary Therapy, The Deli, Ma Hoose Brewing and more besides.

Emily Stokes, the charity's CEO, said: "We are delighted that everyone at 'Conversation I am me' are not only raising awareness about men's mental health, but at the same time raising crucial funds to enable us to expand our work in the Moray area.

"We are so grateful for the fantastic event that has been planned."

Mikeysline was founded in 2015 following the tragic deaths of good friends, Martin Shaw and Michael Williamson within 48 hours of each other.

The Inverness-based charity focuses on breaking down the stigma which can still surround mental health and suicide.

It provides both online and face-to-face support for men experiencing difficulties.
