Support for Moray businesses hit by longer stay in Level 3 Covid-19 restrictions

MORAY Council has released details of financial support available to local businesses impacted by the decision to keep the region in Level 3 Covid-19 restrictions.

Three funds are available: Moray Local Restrictions Grant; Discretionary Business Fund (Hospitality & Tourism Supply Chain; and Discretionary Business Fund Level 3 Restrictions NDR.

The Moray Local Restrictions Grant provides funds to eligible businesses that previously received financial support through the Strategic Framework Business Fund (SFBF) or the Small Accommodation Providers Paying Council Tax Support Fund. They will receive grants to cover up to a two-week period from May 17.

Grants are on track to be processed by Friday, May 21. Businesses do not need to re-apply for this fund. Click here for details.

The Discretionary Business Fund (Hospitality & Tourism Supply Chain) is for supply chain businesses to the hospitality and tourism sector, such as catering vans, bus tour operators, laundry and cleaning services. A one-off payment of £500 will be available to successful applicants.

Discretionary Business Fund Level 3 Restrictions NDR is for eligible businesses which missed out on the SFBF either through not having previously applied or started trading before May 14.
