Elgin gym members seek answers after premises emptied

A member of an Elgin gym said users have been left "in the dark" after the apparent removal of all fitness equipment from its premises.

Worried paying members of Anytime Fitness at Elgin Retail Park, on Edgar Road, took to social media to try to get answers ahead of its anticipated reopening on Monday, April 26, following lockdown closure.

Elgin man (28) jailed for police station struggle

A 28-year-old Elgin man with "a shocking record" was jailed for seven months on Monday after admitting obstructing and resisting police.

At an earlier court appearance Dean Wells admitted the offence which occurred in Elgin Police Station on November 13 last year.

Sentence had since been deferred for a background report to be prepared about him.

Elgin Nursery forced to stay shut due to vandalism attack

A nursery in Elgin has been prevented from opening on Monday after vandals left a trail of destruction over the weekend.

Thousands of pounds of damage have been caused to the Jack N Jill Pre-School Centre on Wardend Place.

Play equipment used by the youngsters has either been broken or stolen.

Body found: Family of Ronald Kemp have been informed

POLICE Scotland has confirmed that a body has been found in a rural location close to Calcots Road in Elgin.

The family of Ronald Kemp (75) have been informed of the development.

The emergency services were called out to The Park at 2am on April 12, to attend blazes at the Findhorn Community Centre and Findhorn Sanctuary buildings.

Police have arrested a 49-year-old man in connection with fires at the Findhorn Foundation

Thankfully no-one was hurt.
