A TEENAGER threw a stone through the window of a Lossiemouth property before returning several hours later to search for drugs.

Anson Dodds (19) cut himself as he removed broken shards of glass to gain access, but the occupant of the flat heard him and called the police after locking himself in the bathroom.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard on Tuesday, October 26, that when officers arrived on the morning of November 29, 2020, they saw Dodds, of Hillview Place, Lossiemouth, holding a knife.

Fiscal depute Martina Eastwood told Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald that the teenager was told to drop it, which he did before running off.

He was arrested shortly afterwards and when he was searched bank cards and blister packs of medication were found in his possession.

Dodds was not present to admit theft by housebreaking and possession of a knife. His lawyer, Grant Daglish tendered a plea of guilty on the first offender's behalf.

Sentence was deferred for a background report, personal appearance and restriction of liberty order assessment until November 22.
