AFTER a successful first stop this year, the Vengabus is set to return to Elgin in 2023!

Dutch Europop band Vengaboys played at the maiden running of the MacMoray Family Easter Festival in April, wowing crowds with their fun-filled set.

The band behind hits such as We Like to Party and We're Going to Ibiza were so popular – and enjoyed themselves so much – that they are returning for the event's second edition.

This year's festival is a weekend-long event, with the Vengaboys set to close the show on Sunday night.

Organiser Andy Macdonald said: "After last year's performance from Vengaboys and all the praise and positive responses they receive from the public, I knew I had to bring them back.

"I had a conversation with Vengaboys and their team and we all agreed how amazing the vibe was and agreed that the perfect way to end MacMoray 2023 would be with a performance from them.

"We have all kept quiet but finally we can announce them."

Vengaboys are the 14th and final main stage act to be announced for the Cooper Park festival, due to take place on April 29 and 30, 2023.

Seven groups will play on each day. Saturday's line-up is: Cascada, Rednex, Five, B*Witched, Bay City Rollers, Drew Dixon and Scooty and the Skyhooks.

Sunday will be finished by Vengaboys. Other groups playing are: Alice Deejay, Buzzocks, Big Country, Nazareth, Sweet and Sandi Thom.

Acts that are due to play on the second stage are going to begin being confirmed from next week.

Andy is convinced that – as promised – MacMoray will be much-improved this year, on and off stage.

"MacMoray 2023 will be bigger and better," he said.

"We have two large outdoor stages, twice as many toilets, two large bars both twice as long and four times more staff. We have taken advantage of the size of Cooper park.

"We have a lot more entertainment for the kids and we have included the children’s playing park as park of MacMoray."
