Organised by Creative Collective, the event will offer festive treats, mulled wine and a roaring fire alongside top-quality crafts.

Building on a successful showing at North East Open Studios (NEOS) this year, products on offer include artwork, greeting cards, cosmetics and skincare, clothes, textiles, food and drink, woodcraft, basketry, photography and jewellery.

The market will run between 11am and 4pm on Saturday, November 25 and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, November 26.

Creative Collective was formed in 2018 and has been meeting fortnightly at Pluscarden Village Hall ever since.

Member Sharon Hurford said: "We are super excited – we can't wait.

"It's just great to have lots of people come out, examine and just look at your things.

"It's good for your soul to have people appreciating what you do.

"And there is going to be such a lovely atmosphere, with mulled wine, festive treats and a fire going."

The decision to throw the festive event was inspired by Creative Collective's successful NEOS residency in September.

Ms Hurford said the public's reaction to the two-week open studio event left the group "blown away".

"It was lovely when we opened for NEOS, we had lots of really nice feedback," she said.

"We have all been blown away, it has been fantastic.

"That was what gave us the boost to do the Winter Market."

And, already, the group has heard about the community's excitement for this weekend's event.

"We have had a huge amount of support," she said.

"And it is fantastic, it really is, it's great.

"It is because of all the wonderful people who have given us encouragement and support that we are able to do this.

"We are extremely grateful for that."

She added: "I think everything we make works really well together and it compliments each other.

"We are all as passionate about our own products as each other – and that's what makes us a fantastic team."
