Three in hospital after crash near Inverness airport

Three patients including a child have been taken to hospital following a crash this morning near Inverness Airport.

Two people were also treated at scene following an accident involving four cars on the B9039 at the junction towards Dalcross Industrial Estate.

Emergency services remain at the site of the crash which resulted in the closure of the road's junction with the A96.

A spokesman said the Scottish Ambulance Service received a call just before 9am to attend the collision.

They added: "We dispatched three ambulances, a critical care paramedic and a paramedic response unit to the scene, with our first resource arriving on scene within three minutes."

Police Scotland have stated that emergency services remain at the scene and inquiries are ongoing.
