A TOP Scottish soul band will make a return to Lossiemouth this spring.

Scooty and the Skyhooks will perform at Lossiemouth Town Hall on Saturday, April 25.

Tickets for the gig are on sale at Miele’s of Lossiemouth and online at www.ybdmusic.com.

The two-hour show has been organised by Andy Macdonald, of YBD Music.

Davie Ross, co-founder and lead vocalist of Scooty and the Skyhooks, said they were delighted at the prospect of a Lossiemouth return. He said: "I played Lossie in April 2018.

"We called it our reunion with Lossie as it’s always been one of our favourite places to play and the crowd have been amazing ever since first playing there back in the late 1980s and 1990s in St G’s and the Beach Bar.

"Our return in 2018 was in the town hall which sold out and was another brilliant night with a lot of familiar faces in the crowd."

Scooty and the Skyhooks play lively sets of motown, northern soul, ska, funk and blues. They have grown to become an enduring musical presence, playing regularly to packed dance floors in venues throughout the north of Scotland.

Recent performances include festival appearances and as support for Craig Charles, Jools Holland and Runrig.
