The fundraiser for Out of the Darkness Theatre Company will be headlined by local band MacTa with support from The Fragz, Tom Morris and Elgin’s newest band Cecilia, who will make their Elgin Town Hall debut at the show on Saturday May 20.

MacTa were finalists of the Scottish Wedding Awards 2023 and play a wide range of classic and contemporary pop, rock and country covers, whilst “Teuchter Punks” The Fragz will bring an entertaining and energetic stage presence to the show with their original songs.

Both bands took part in the recent The Conversation: I Am Me gig for Men’s Mental Health at Elgin Town Hall and will play at MacMoray Festival on Sunday April 30.

Tom Morris is a musician and singer-songwriter from Elgin who’s been writing and releasing his own music since 2020. Tom is known for his unique sound which blends rock, alt-rock, and folk influences. He is currently working on releasing new music and hopes to bring energy and enthusiasm to the stage at the Town Hall with his live band.

Cecilia will also make their Town Hall debut at the show. The new four piece band was formed as an act for Elgin Academy’s 2022 Talent Show, which they ended up winning, and then played their first live gig at Elgin Youth Cafe. The band are looking forward to sharing their love of music with the audience.

Tickets cost £15 and are available to buy here.

All profits will go to Elgin’s Out of Darkness Theatre Company, which helps people with learning challenges express themselves through the creative arts.
