tsiMORAY is calling for community support to help them support Volunteers' Week.

With just days to go before National Volunteers' Week, tsiMORAY is giving people the opportunity to write messages describing what volunteering means to them and use social media to share their stories.

Sue Davies, Volunteer Development Officer at tsiMORAY, said: "Volunteers are everywhere in Moray helping people, helping our community.

Sometimes it’s behind the scenes and it isn’t always visible, sometimes people don’t see what they do as volunteering and sometimes volunteers are shy coming forward. Either way, we are so very grateful to the amazing volunteers in Moray.

"We want to raise awareness of the strength of the volunteering community here but also flag up to others that there are many ways to get involved.

"Hopefully, by encouraging our community of volunteers to get involved and spread the word about why they volunteer, other people will get a taste of the breadth of opportunities out there and how worthwhile volunteering can be."

All people have to do is download the message frame from the tsiMORAY website and post a picture of themselves on their own social media channels with a message detailing why they volunteer, using the hashtags #VolunteersWeekScot and #MorayVolunteers.

Anyone interested in volunteering or getting volunteers involved in their projects can check out https://www.tsimoray.org.uk/volunteering or drop-in to the tsiMORAY office at 30-32 High Street, Elgin.

To track Volunteers’ Week activity on Twitter search for #VolunteersWeekScot or #MorayVolunteers.
