Two fire engines called to tackle Bishopmill house fire

FIRE crews rushed to tackle a blaze at an Elgin residential property yesterday (Tuesday).

Two fire appliances and a fire officer car were called to the house, on Kintrae View in Bishopmill, to fight a fire which had broken out in the property's garage.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.32pm on Tuesday, December 19 to reports of a dwelling fire on Kintrae View, Elgin.

"Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the scene, where firefighters extinguished a fire within the property’s garage.

"There were no casualties and crews left at 4.47pm after ensuring the area was safe."
