Two fires near Elgin on same evening

Emergency services dealt with two blazes in and around Elgin on Wednesday evening.

The fire services was called to the first at 4.30pm.

An outbuilding was alight in the Brumley Brae area, about a quarter of a mile north of the kennels.

Four fire engines went to this blaze, with the last leaving the scene at 10pm.

Meanwhile, a bale fire was reported in the Linkwood area at 6.20pm.

Crews from two fire engines received help from the farmer to cut open the bales.

The emergency services left here at 8.30pm.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Neither incident is being classed as suspicious at the moment, but that could change."
