Crime in Moray: Two men allegedly drove off after smashing window in Portgordon

The police have launched an appeal after two men reportedly smashed a window at a property in Portgordon.

The two suspects are said to have arrived in a small, cream-coloured car, then made off at speed in the general direction of Spey Bay or Fochabers.

The incident happened at around 12.45pm on Wednesday, May 1, on Stewart Street.

PC Abbey Emmett said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone in the area who may have seen what happened.

“We believe there was a group of women walkers who may have witnessed the incident and we are asking them to come forward.”

The police are also asking anyone with CCTV, dash-cam footage or any other information to get in touch.”

Call Police Scotland on 101, quoting the incident number 0790 for Thursday, May 2.
