An open invitation has gone out for folk to come along to the venue on Main Street from 2pm to 4pm on July 21.

The Cuppa, Conversation and Craft group was begun during this month two years and, until lockdown intervened, it was proving very popular.

Ness Smith, the hall's secretary and treasurer said: "Like many halls we are trying to get ourselves up and running again after the last year of no activities.

"With that in mind, we are hoping to re-establish the Cuppa, Conversation and Craft group held fortnightly on a Wednesday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm.

"The group is for all ages, as we have found that young people just love to chat as do the older folk and there is nothing like a good gossip to put the world to rights.

"We want to bring back the Knitting Circle and the craft table.

"But, most of all, we want the people to come and feel safe and have some fun.

"We look forward to seeing lots of people on the 21st."

The hall is coming up to its 100th anniversary, having been built and gifted to the community by the Innes family in 1924.

Plans are already being drawn up to mark the occasion.

Anyone who has old photos, memorabilia or even stories connected to the hall is asked to get in contact.

All ages welcome.
