JUST three boxes of fish were landed at Buckie Harbour last week.

Weather conditions did not prove conducive to fishing endeavours with just the one boat, our May, landing anything. no bags of clams were brought ashore.

This compares to 188 boxes and no bags the week before.

Two cargo vessels called at Buckie last week.

First in was the MV H&S Fairness (Dutch) on April 8, importing 2472.32 tonnes of malt from King’s Lynn before sailing light to Immingham two days later.

The Antiguan-registered MV Allora arrived on April 11 bringing in 1500 tonnes of malt from Antwerp. She sailed light on Friday heading for Inverness.
