AN EXHIBITION on the history of health provision in a Moray village is underway.

Speyside Visitor Centre, in Aberlour, is hosting the display, which has been compiled by Ben Hinnie and other members of the centre's voluntary team.

Medical memorabilia and photographs from over the years form part of the exhibit.

That includes numerous pieces of older equipment which will be unfamiliar to the majority of spectators.

The exhibition also shines a spotlight on the doctors who played a role in the village's medical history, including doctors Sellar, Caldwell and Lawrence.

Not only did they look after villagers and those from outlying communities, but they were also regularly called to the care of children when Aberlour Orphanage was in operation.

The exhibition is now up and running and will be on show during the centre's opening hours, running until 5pm on September 28.

A number of exhibits have been loaned to the centre for the display.
