Our Moray Maternity campaign has been shortlisted for the awards as part of Journalism Matters week.

We have long been a supporter of maternity services in Moray and continue to campaign for their full restoration after the downgrade at Dr Gray's Hospital five years ago.

Our work this year highlighting the continued plight of Moray women has now been showcased alongside other powerful national and local campaigns from across the UK.

We are now calling on our readers to vote for us for local campaign of the year.

Chris Saunderson, Joint Content Editor of The Northern Scot, said: "We are delighted our maternity campaign has been shortlisted.

"We will continue to support the campaign until it leads to a full restoration of a consultant-led service at Dr Gray's."

To vote for us follow this link and select our campaign under the local and regional media campaign tab.

This should highlight your selection orange. Once this has been done, select the 'submit your vote' tab and click on the orange vote button.

The vote will close at 5pm on November 1.
