The Elgin cinema is hosting its annual Christmas Show for older movie fans.

A special screening of "It's a Wonderful Life" will be shown on Wednesday, December 7.

The daytime event will include refreshments and a raffle.

The 1946 classic is about a character, George Bailey, who has so many problems he is thinking about ending it all -- and it's Christmas!

As George is about to jump from a bridge, he ends up rescuing his guardian angel, Clarence. Clarence then shows George what his town would have looked like if it hadn't been for all of his good deeds over the years.
