The new single released today by Moray band The Zebecks addresses the subject of toxic masculinity.

'Medicate' talks candidly of guilt, internal battles and societal struggles.

The Zebecks – Max Robertson (bass), Aiden Smith (drums), Daniel Thomson (guitar and vocals) and Hayden Peace (lead guitar and vocals) – first met while at Elgin Academy.

Now based in Glasgow, the four friends are looking to build on the momentum of 2023, which culminated in a sold-out performance at the well-known city venue King Tut's.

Talking about their new release, the band say: "This song was inspired by our own experiences of the nightlife of Glasgow.

"Our purpose is to highlight unaddressed issues and taboos, with the hope we can generate discussion and challenge engrained attitudes we have as young men."
