WATCH: Moray & Banffshire Heroes 2023 ‒ nominate your secondary school teachers
This week Moray & Banffshire Heroes 2023 is turning the spotlight on the outstanding secondary school teachers in our communities.
The secondary school teacher of the year will be an individual who has made a significant difference to the learning experience of their pupils.

There are 12 main Moray and Banffshire Heroes awards including a brand new award for a green hero which will be presented to an individual who is helping to create a cleaner, greener future:

- Healthcare hero
- Primary pupil
- Community champion
- Fundraiser
- Secondary teacher
Each week, your favourite Highland News & Media websites and newspapers will feature each category with details about how to nominate your heroes.
Once all of your nominations are in, our judging panel will whittle down your entries to create a shortlist. The shortlist will be published in a special supplement where you can vote for your Heroes of 2023.
In addition to the 12 main categories, there is also a very special award. Our judges will choose the hero of heroes from all of the winners and they will be revealed on awards night on Thursday, April 20.
