'Numbness and disbelief' - Stagecoach driver reacts to death of colleague Keith Rollinson after Elgin bus station vigil

"A SENSE of numbness and disbelief" – the words of a grieving bus driver to describe the emotions surrounding the death of colleague Keith Rollinson.
"Everybody should come back from their shift. It is hard to take in," he added.
The Stagecoach driver, who didn't want to be named, was part of a minute's silence in memory of Keith (58) at Elgin bus station earlier this afternoon.
Around 40 people - drivers and their family and friends - gathered to lay flowers, share memories of Keith, embrace each other and help collectively start to process the loss and sadness.
The stagecoach driver died in hospital following a late night incident at the bus station on Friday.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with his death.
The fellow driver said Keith was a private guy but respected among colleagues and enjoyed a laugh.
And he said drivers had come from all over Moray and beyond to pay their respects.
It was an emotional gathering, with colleagues in tears and many being comforted by others.
Stagecoach staff and members of the public have been laying flowers and candles at the scene.
One described Keith as a "true gentleman".
The driver said the local Stagecoach family will pull together to help any colleagues who are struggling and need support following Keith's death.
He said there was a real sense of shock at the tragic death of a colleague just doing his job.
Detective Inspector Gavin Fleming, of Aberdeen CID, said: “Our thoughts are very much with Keith’s family and we are providing them with support at what is a very difficult time for them. They have asked for their privacy to be respected.”
