We do like to be beside the seaside – Lossie Seafest

SEAFEST Lossiemouth will be a week-long celebration of the town’s seaside heritage.

Running from July 1-6, there is a packed programme.

The action kicks off this Saturday (July 1) in the Station Park with a family fayre day from 11am to 5pm, which will include food and craft stalls, live music, Paint the View and a bar area.

Sunday (July 2) sees a watersports taster at the west beach from 12.30-3.30pm, tennis fun day and fencing at Marine Park from 12-3pm.

Coastal rowing takes place at the west basin marina from 12-2pm on Monday (July 3).

Other events include beach club on the west beach from 10-11am, a surfing session at the New Wave Surf Shack from 10am-12pm, and Windswept brewery tour and tasting from 6-8pm (all on Wednesday, July 5) and novelty bikes with Outfit Moray (July 6), at Station Park 10.30am-2.30pm. There is an ice cream hunt all week, with forms available from Mieles at the esplanade.

There is also a bonniest garden competition where residents can win Decora vouchers.
