ELGIN Indian restaurant Panache has added another award to its collection.
The South Street business was named the north of Scotland's Indian Restaurant of the Year at the 15th Scottish Curry Awards 2023.
Staff from Panache received the honour at a black tie event on Tuesday, May 2 at Glasgow's Marriott Hotel, which more than 400 people attended.
Panache restaurant manager Mamun Hussain said the win left him and his staff feeling "overwhelmed".
The honour also showed that the effort poured into the business by the team has been worth it, he added.
"We feel really overwhelmed," he said.
"And it's not our first time, we have actually won a range of awards in past years as well.
"When this happens, you actually feel like all the hard work has paid off."
Mr Hussain was keen to thank his customers for their continued support over the years.
He also highlighted how tough economic times had not dampened the loyalty and dedication of Moray folk towards Panache.
"I must thank our local customers who have supported and voted for us," he said.
"Especially since it has been a hard time this past year for everyone who visits us."
Asked the secret of Panache's award-winning ways, Mr Hussain singled out his staff's hard work and talent.
He said: "It's our staff and the service they provide and, of course, our chef and the quality of the food.
"It is all because of the staff's hard work."
However, despite the win, the restaurant is already working to maintaining and improve its high standards.
Mr Hussain said: "Obviously you need to keep up your food quality, the service and everything else to win these awards.
"So even though we have won, we will always try harder to do our best and do good work."
